If your prescription does not contain your PD then our team of experts will work to a national average which is common practice.
In extremely rare cases where the prescription is particularly complex our eyewear specialists may determine that your prescription cannot be processed using a national average PD. Choose between sunglasses or clear spectacles, which are available online with Single Vision, or get in touch directly to order a Progressive lens for both distance and reading lens.
Perfect for a special occasion or a gift for a loved one, have your frames engraved with up to 10 characters with our personalised engraving service.
Engraving can include special characters and will be positioned centrally on the outside of one arm.
Characters will be laser engraved onto your frames. On acetate frames, the indent is filled with silver paint to create a delicate but visible mark. On wooden frames the visibility of the mark will vary slightly depending on the natural wood grain of your frames.

If for any reason you are not happy with your new product, please get in touch with the team and you can return the item/s within 30 days of purchase for a refund or exchange.
For free returns delivery, please email the team with details of your name and order number to: care@finlayandco.com. You will then be provided with a free postage label. If you’re returning from outside the UK you must use this service for avoidance of incorrect re-import duty charges which will be deducted from your refund.

If you change your mind about the spectacles you have chosen, we are not able to offer a refund but can offer an exchange within 30 days of purchase. The frames to be returned must be in their original condition. The exchange will be for a new colour of the same style frame. Please get in touch with the team and they’ll be happy to assist you.
If you feel there is a problem with the lenses, please get in touch as soon as possible and we can help you understand what may be the issue. Please note if you are wearing a new or recently updated prescription there is usually a small time of adjustment to your new lenses. The team are always happy to help with any questions you may have.

The term Finlay & Co or “us” or “we” refers to the owner of the website. The term “you” and “your” refers to you, the user or viewer of our website and the purchaser, customer and consumer of our product. The product refers to any item for sale on www.finlayandco.com
The use of this website is subject to the following terms of use:
INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY
All products on this site are guaranteed for one year from the date of purchase under the following conditions.
To claim under the warranty, you must provide proof of purchase and the date thereof and pay the costs of all shipping charges. We recommend that you choose a type of shipping which is insured against loss or damage and allows tracking of the package sent. Finlay & Co is not responsible in any way for loss, or damage to, the product during shipment.

If the replacement or repair request is made within one year of purchase, and the damage is attributable to defects in materials or workmanship, the sunglasses will be repaired or replaced as deemed most appropriate by Finlay & Co. In the event that the damage is not attributable to Finlay & Co, we will contact you to let you know any additional costs required for the repair. If no replacement is available the customer may choose a product of the same value as their replacement but no cash refund will be made after 14 days of original purchase. You can agree to the repair or decline it and ask us to return the unrepaired product at our own expense. The warranty does not cover the following:
CANCELLATIONS
Finlay & Co is liable if the goods are damaged or lost in transit but you will need to contact our customer service team within 7days of ordering (care@finlayandco.com). If the goods are lost or damaged when returning the product the customer is liable. If the goods ordered are bespoke to you and produced to your specification (“engraved”), you will not be able to cancel your order after the order confirmation has been sent to you. Cancellation after the order has been dispatched is not possible; in cases where the order has been dispatched, the customer is required to receive the order. Cancellation is not valid until the customer has confirmed with Finlay & Co by email and this email has been acknowledged by Finlay & Co (care@finlayandco.com). Where stock may be unavailable Finlay & Co reserves the right to cancel any order, we will notify the customer of a replacement or any equivalent products where possible. If Finlay & Co receives a package that has not been collected from the post office (or equivalent shipping office), we reserve the right to charge you for all costs that we incur from handling your order and shipment. An invoice will be sent to you and settlement of the invoice must be made within 10 days.
LIABILITY FOR DEFECT
If your product is damaged in transport, whether the damage is visible or hidden it must be reported immediately to Finlay & Co within 24 hours of receiving your Finlay & Co product It is therefore important that you carefully examine your package when it arrives. Defective products returned to Finlay & Co will be treated as if they were in perfect working order when shipped as all our products are inspected when they are packaged. In the case of faults or defects in the product supplied, the purchaser shall not be entitled to reject the product unless such faults or defects are reported within 14 days of placing the order.
As a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to Goods that are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office. Nothing in these Terms will affect these legal rights.
COMPLAINTS TERMS AND WITHDRAWAL
It is important that the customer checks their goods when the shipment is received in order to verify that the products are not damaged and correct. If you receive your item and see that you have been sent the incorrect item or it is damaged, please contact us within 24 hours. Any complaints should be made to our customer service team via email care@finlayandco.com, or through our contact form on the contact page of our website. Please supply the order number and the reason for complaint and we will get back to you promptly with instructions on how to return the item. It is important that the returning product is packaged in such a way that it cannot be damaged in transit. The customer is entitled to a refund of the shipping cost if the product suffers a manufacturer fault which will be decided by Finlay & Co on receipt of the returned product. Finlay & Co has the right to replace defective goods with goods of the same model. If the item has been discontinued, the customer will receive a replacement product up to the same value.
The purchaser has the right to return the purchase within 14 days. This right applies only in the case that the product and its original packaging can be returned in the same condition as it was received. Please note that products which are bespoke to the customer, for example, products which have been engraved, will be not be permitted to be returned after purchase. Purchasers using their right to return an order they complete the returns & exchanges section of the website. The order number and customer’s email address that was used to order will be required. Return shipping are paid by the consumer.
CONFIRMATION
Once we have received your order we will send a confirmation to your email address. Save this email in order to facilitate any contact with customer service. The order confirmation (receipt) also serves as a guarantee of proof of purchase.
PAYMENT
You can choose to pay with credit or debit cards using Sagepay. For payment gateway specific terms and conditions please see www.sagepay.com. Finlay & Co does not handle any credit or debit card numbers. There is no extra charge for card payments. When paying by credit/debit card starting conditions apply as soon as the card transaction is approved. The price of the Goods will be set out in our price list in force at the time we confirm your Order. Our prices may change at any time, but price changes will not affect Orders that we have confirmed with you. This includes foreign exchange rates which are fixed by us and may be subject to change without notice.
It is the customer’s responsibility to adhere to their local tax regulations; this includes import duty and VAT. For orders inside the EU VAT is applied to the invoice, for orders outside the EU VAT is not included in the price nor shown on the invoice. Orders to countries outside the EU may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once the package reaches you. Finlay & Co ships your package according to Incoterm Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU). This means that we do not collect VAT, duties and/or taxes on orders to countries outside the EU and we cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur any such additional charges they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. Please contact your local customs office for more information.
ORDERING
Orders made in another person’s name without their consent, or any other financial damage suffered to that person or Finlay & Co will be reported to the police. Finlay & Co holds the right to change prices, correct incorrect prices on all orders as well as final sales. Finlay & Co has the right to cancel any order at any time.
All attempts at fraud will be reported to the police and Finlay & Co reserves the right to cancel the purchase if any suspicion is arisen. British law shall govern any dispute and any issues under these terms.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
When shopping with Finlay & Co we will save some of your information to help fulfil your order. Finlay & Co treats all personal information as confidential and nothing is passed on to third parties. You have the right to request access to your data and if there is anything incorrect you can get it changed or removed.
PRODUCT
Finlay & Co has the right to adjust prices, include additional costs and change product information such as product pictures and offers without notice. The product images and information texts available reflect the product as far as possible. We reserve the right for any errors that may appear on the page and cannot guarantee that all pictures accurately reflect the true appearance of the sunglasses. The pictures may differ depending on the colour settings on your computer. All pictures should be seen as illustrations only, and do not guarantee correct appearance and characteristics.
LIMITED LIABILITY
Finlay & Co™ responsibility for errors in delivery is limited to these conditions of sale. Finlay & Co bears no direct or indirect responsibility for example, but not limited to, incompatibility, delivery delays, downtime, data loss, additional work or other economic harm.
Finlay & Co shall be exempt from liability for damages and other penalties on the performance of the contract prevented, hindered or delayed by circumstances beyond our control. As the release factor should be considered include government intervention, new / amended legislation, lack of state, war, fire, flood, labour disturbance, prohibitions, restrictions, sabotage, poor transport or weather conditions or lack of delivery from suppliers and the company is exposed to criminal activity that affects activities.
We only supply the Goods for domestic and private use. You agree not to use the Goods for any commercial, business or re-sale purpose, and we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

The rights in the designs and content of this website are owned by Finlay & Co. Copyright and other intellectual property rights protect them. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute display, post or transmit any part of this site without permission. RETENTION OF TITLE
All products remain Finlay & Co property until full payment is made.
APPLICABILITY
These Terms are governed and shall be construed in accordance with English law. You and We both agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. These conditions are applicable where the British or other applicable law do not provide conditions that are in conflict with them.
COMPETITIONS & DISCOUNTS
Discount codes and offers will be available from time to time. Each discount may have specific guidelines for geographical and age requirements. A clear start and end time will be indicated; these will be according to Greenwich Mean Time (“GMT”) and discounts outside these times will not be accepted. Any discounts or offers will not be valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion and no cash alternative will be given.
